Introduction to the reasons for travelling to Iran

I think Iran is a country that anyone with any taste should visit it at least once. I spoke to our former customers about their reasons for choosing Iran as their vacation destination. Their answers mainly divided into 8 reasons, which we are going to discuss in this article

Why should we visit Iran?

According to the answers, the foreigners who travelled to Iran told me. I made a list of reasons that we are going to discuss.

1- Iran is safe to travel to

Many foreigners due to wrong advertisement and sanctions think that Iran is not safe anymore, but it is. You can ask from the travellers who visited Iran or take a look at the warm heartfelt comments our former travellers gave us and you will nearly all of them felt safe travelling with an Iran travel agency. The only recommendation I have for you is to travel with a trustable Iran travel agency such as Gapa Tour Company to feel safer and have a native travel guide beside you throughout your whole journey.

2- You must visit Iran’s unique architecture

Iranian architecture displays great variety, both structural and aesthetic, from a variety of traditions and experience. Without sudden innovations, and despite the repeated trauma of invasions and cultural shocks, it has achieved "an individuality distinct from that of other Muslim countries". Its dominant advantages are: "a marked feeling for form and scale; structural inventiveness, especially in vault and dome construction; a genius for decoration with a freedom and success not rivalled in any other architecture"

Iran is very unique in terms of architecture and attracts many famous architects yearly. IF you are interested to visit Islamic Persian art, Iran is the one place you can witness such elements.

3- run has the most hospitable welcoming people

In my idea, this is the best point of travelling to Iran. When you travel to Iran you wouldn’t need to worry about accommodation or food, the door to the house of each Iranian is open to the tourists all the time and they love to share everything they have with you. Besides this, they will treat you like a celebrity and want to take pictures with you anywhere. Many of them will invite you to chat or even one of their parties.
In Iran, you will be surrounded by the kindest people of the Middle East.

4- Iran has 23 visiting sights added to the UNESCO world heritage site list.

Yes, you read correctly. With 23 UNESCO world heritage sites in different criteria such as historical, cultural, and natural, Iran is filled with visiting places. Trust me in your Iran tourism there is always something to do or somewhere to visit.

These visiting sights are spread all over the country, therefore in your limited time it’s nearly impossible to visit all of them and I highly recommend to plan your trip and everywhere you what to go before coming to Iran.

5- Iranian local food is extraordinarily delicious

Iran local foods are very special. The most famous traditional food of Iran which is well known among foreigners is our Kebabs. If you want to try Iranian kebabs I highly suggest travelling to Bonab.

I recommend to foodies to try different foods too. Iran is also famous for “Ghorme sabzi”, “gheymeh”, “tah chin”, and “caviar”. If you want to taste the best quality. Go the Milad round restaurant at the top of Milad tower.

6- It is very cheap to travel to Iran

Due to the sanctions and economic problems, the value of Iran concurrency has become very low and 1 dollar will be exchanged to 125000 Rials. Eating Caviar in the best restaurant of Iran will only cost you 10 dollars or staying at the best five-star hotel of Iran with services like sauna, pool, massage, and etcetera will cost you 25 dollars a night.

If you have a limited budget and want to experience a luxury trip, travel to Iran and to our capital Tehran.

7- Iran souvenirs are matchless

I don’t think there would be anyone in this world who hasn’t heard about Persian carpets and where is better to buy a perfect Persian carpet better than Persia itself.

In Iran Bazaars, you can find very unique handicrafts like Khatam, clim, Mina kari, Toreutics, Moarragh kari, Wood carving, Goldsmith, Turquoise Inlaying, Termeh, and Persian textiles. Aside from buying souvenirs for your loved ones, you experience bargaining Iranian way and get very good discounts.

Isfahan and Shiraz and the grand Bazaar of Iran are the best places to buy Persian carpets.

8- The ancient Persia dates back to 2500 years ago

Want to be the prince of Persia? Or Aladdin on his flying carpet?  In Iran, you will have the chance to travel 2500 years back in time and feel the ancient Persian vibe. If you are interested in Achaemenid era and the king of the kings, Cyrus the great, you must pay a visit to Pasargadae where his main castle and tomb is located. If you are interested in Zoroastrians you should go to the historic city of Yazd and visit Atash Bahram, if you are interested in the Sassanid era visit Kermanshah and Tagh-E-Boostan, or if you are interested in the Safavid kings and the remains of Ottoman wars, go to Isfahan. Nearly everything in this city resembles the Safavid era.  Or if you are interested in the Qajar era to visit our capital Tehran and go to Golestan palace.

If you are interested in Elamite times you can visit Chogha Zanbil ziggurat at Khuzestan province.
